Sweet corn Salad

         Sweet corn salad is full of flavor and taste. It can be served as a fresh and healthy side dish with your food. Actually, I got a chance to taste sweetcorn salad from Airport. Then I decide to make my own recipe. When I tested every one of my family enjoyed the salad very much.
         This salad you can try during the Summer season. I will share different types of salad recipes later.

Sweet corn Salad

          Most salads can be had as a brunch or as a light meal. You can add your own choice of vegetables, spices, and herbs. Here I used onion, carrot, tomato, cucumber etc. I made this salad with simple and basic recipe. Different types of recipes are there. Here I used frozen sweet corn of Al-Islami foods company. You can use fresh sweet corn by cooking or tinned corn can also be used. It will be better with fresh corn.

         Sweet corn has high sugar content, which lends that delicious sweet taste. It can be eaten in so many ways. It can be eaten boiled, grilled, or roasted. Corn kernels can be tossed into stews, soups, salads etc. And fresh sweet corn kernels can be consumed raw. It is easy to prepare and tastes incredibly fresh without a lot of ingredients. You can add olive oil if you need it.


  • Sweet corn  1/2 cup
  • Onion           1/2 piece
  • Tomato        1/2 piece
  • Cucumber     1/2 piece
  • Carrot         1/2 piece
  • Lettuce leaf    1/2 cup
  • coriander leaf    1/4 cup
  • Mayonnaise      2-3 tbsp
  • salt     to taste


  • Boil the sweet corn for 5 minutes because I used frozen corn. Then drain the water.
  • Chop all the vegetables you selected. Here I used onion, tomato, cucumber, carrot, lettuce leaf, and coriander leaf.
  •  Add salt to taste
  • Add mayonnaise according to your taste.
  • Add one tbsp lemon juice.
  • Mix all together and garnish in your own style.
